100 octane gas
I put 100 octane gas in my car yesterday and it was pulling a lot harder, i noticed the difference and i felt the car jerk a lot when it was shifting. I would get it more often but it expensive. Does it really make u go faster or am i just imagining things?

octane ratings in gas varies in states
cali you may purchase 87 but your car may really only see 82 the rest is alchole additives and detergents cali is the worst state for gas
our cars being designed for 87 because of lower compression and midler timing so if youve advanced the timing you may notice more with higher octane
oh yeah and higher octane is jsut more lube in the gas so it may run smoother hence alittle extra speed but that is it
remember the old cars needed lead in gas because they didnt have hardened seats in the heads (lead was a lube) but now you have hardened seats so the lube is not needed but higher compresions or advanced timming you will need the lube
higher octane is less cumbustable than lower octane so you dont get ping more oil make sence
also how much of a push are you guys noticing with vtec i really dont knwo it and i still have a completly stock 97 cl 2.2

Man....down here we have Moroso and I heard you can get 100+ octane gas...Its use for drag racing only. What I've done is get 93 gas and put a bottle of nos or any other octane booster product....it works for me....+ the venom it makes a difference...even my friends notice it....

76 stations in california sometimes have 104 and it is measured on a differant rating thatn ragular gas in cali and it turns about 101- 102 in the engine and that is not bad for your engine at all means you can advance your timming a bit more
