i know ya ll said just to go with an h22a but i really want the dohc vtec h23 not the non vtec h23. i cant remember who said it but u said they arent that reliable, but i dont drive my car like a bat out of hell anyway.

h22a 200 hp 163 ft lbs
h23a 225 hp dont know the torque

I JUST WANT TO BE UNIQUE WITH WHAT MOTOR I BUY

how hard will it be to drop in any custom fabrication to the engine bay?

SOMEONE ANSWER SO I CAN QUIT ASKING

An h23 is not going to have 225hp. Who ever told you that is a bullshitter. H23 Vtec frankenstines are not reliable simply because the bottom end was not ment to run a Vtec head. The way you have to set up the head to work is often no reliable either. Get an H22, i'll show you how to set it up bad ass. Fuck dicken around with h23's. Why buy something you have to spend more money on to get performance when you can buy something already set up, and is reliable.

If you want something different get the F20b motor. It will bolt right in the same. It doesnt have as much torque but it's 11:1 comp. and has lsd. I want to see one of these and how it performs.

y would being different matter with engine swaps??? hell i'll take an h22 people envy u enough with a swap unless its a 500 hp vette motor then i dont think many people are goin to care if its a h23 or h22 the fact that u have one stands alone

just thought you guys should know...there is an h23 vtec motor...it comes in the jdm honda accord wagons....the down side to it is that it only comes with an auto tranny.....another disadvantage is...what motor would you order parts for? the h23 vtec also doesnt rev as high...
get either the h22 or f20b
these are both really good motors ....the h22 ha more torque...but the f20 is a higher reving motor....(f20b uses all the same parts as h22)
