$400 for changing timing belt???
I know i'm asking in the 1st gen CL forum but...
I called Midas about changing the belt on my 97 Eclipse GS and they want $400!! Now, I don't know much about Mitsubishis.. HELP am I being ripped off???

acura charge 700 for a full change on the 105k tune up
thats the timing, all the belts, the fluids full flushed, oil change
and i cant remember the rest

about$100 for parts and $300 for labor
an acura dealership would charge $700 as forementioned

WHAT!?! ONLY $700!?! Ive been quoted $1100 for my 105K service at an Acura Dealer!!!!! Is this not the going rate!?! Should i ask around elceware?

not the worst price but u could find cheaper. also make sure they change the balance shaft belt. it it breaks it makes the timing belt brake. they should do it all at the same time cause its all right there. i had a 93 eagle talon and the balance shaft belt broke it just vibrated really bad then i changed both belts myself.

Damn~... guess I'm just gonna go ahead and pay the $400... Its a little steep but at least get it over with...
