Just got my system put in, w/ Bose.

I just got back from having my system installed. I did a simple 2 12" box, hidden amp.

The amp is hidden where the 3rd row headrests go and the box sits on top of the third row. I really don't use it too much so i thought this would be ok.

I got 2 12" MTX Jackhammers and ZX400.1 Kicker amp.

This thing rocks! I was a little skeptical about buying MTX subs but there are really good. They used the signal feed from the stock Bose sub and it worked. Install was a snap.

Where did you get this done in CT? I had to do it myself on my TL for the remote turn-on to bypass the Bose amp. I recentely just got a new h/u but at the time it was sort of tasking.
and get them pics up lol

I actually got it done at a local Circuit City because i have a friend that installs there and he hooks me up. I think i may redo some of the amp wiring to clean it up a little but other than that it is a clean simple install.

Thanks guys, sounds great too, compliments the stock Bose system pretty well. Gain and Bass Boost are low so that it doesn't overpower the interior speakers.

Thanks! I am really happy with this amp. More than enough power. That little compartment was perfect for it.

Amp

Hey 55,

Glad I found this site. Lots of cool stuff here. If I were you, I would keep an eye on the temperature of my amp. It may overheat in that little compartment. Just buy the extended warranty and let er ride.

Yea usually i am skeptical about buying warranties through those types of stores but it was $40 for 4 yrs for the amp and $60 for both subs for 4 yrs. I figured the extra $100 was worth the piece of mind. I really have to do something about the rattling those. Something is shaking hard back there.

So apparently all that rattling back there was because i had a defective box and it was actually the box that was making all the noise. Took it back to circuit city and got it replaced to today. Sounds good as new. Thank god.
