Jacking up 2008 MDX

Does anyone know what kind of jack would I need to lift from the front tow hook and rear center jack point to be able to place jack stands on the lift points by the wheels? How high does it need to be lifted to get the wheels off the ground? Thx

are the front and rear hooks the only places to lift the car from?
i saw a youtube video of a guy lifting the car from one side which is a lot easier, but don't know exactly where he lifted the car from. anyone have a pic for reference?

all he says is "middle of the car"...

thanks!

Most likely he is jacking on #1 where it crosses #21 reinforcement or on #1 inbetween where #21 & #6 reinforcements crosses.

#21 & #6 rails are probably what the seat bolts to.

I recommend you place a 2x4 under the #1 rail length wise... say about 2' long to distribute the weight more.

Go easy at first until you fine the correct spot. I wouldn't want you to cave in the floor pan.

Discloser: Try at you own risk. Lol

BTW... He is not jacking in the middle, he is favoring the front side of the car.

thanks, guys! I'm a very visual person, so I took some pix as better reference.

here's a pic, from the passenger side looking forward. the yellow box is where the jack stand would go. the red box should be the area you said is okay to jack the car from in order to put the stand in, right?

yellow - jack stand
red - ok lifting point to jack car up in order to put jackstand in yellow place.

No, you have a pic of part #8 inner Sill panel. The guy in the video is jacking somewhere to the left or further in towards the center of the car/further inward to the left of the red box. Ref your pic.

For the record I'm not 100 percent convince that that is a good spot for jacking. Just bc the car is raising does not mean there's no damage being done.

I'm merely pointing out where he's jacking.

You should be confuse. We're talking about 3 different MDXs here.
I = You can place a jack stand here.

O = You can jack on that or place a jack stand here.
