iPod Touch 4G works for about 1 minute and shuts off
Hi...I am hoping someone can give me a fix for this if there is one.
I have a 2010 MDX with the Tech/Entertainment package that was working great with my iTouch. Since a recent software upgrade to v.4.3.5 it will play for a bit over a minute perfectly. The info loads on the screen great, and then the screen clears out and the iTouch says 'This accessory not supported by the ipod'.
I've seen issues online, but none of the fixes are working for me. I've tried turning it off and then plugging it in, hard resetting, soft resetting. Nothing has worked.
I've even tried turning of the Voice for the songs.
I can't possibly be the only person with this issue.
My iPhone 4 also has the exact same issue....songs load and play for about a minute and then the iPhone shows the error that the accessory isn't supported.
Something on my MDX is interrupting it that didn't before.
I'd appreciate any help with this.

I did some searching and here is a suggestion. One poster stated that lint got into the docking area and caused issues. Maybe your problem?
Something I thought about is maybe the bluetooth or WiFi is interfering some way. You can turn them off on the iPod and see if that helps any.
Sorry I am not more help.

Thanks, Billy. I'll try cleaning out the usb cord. It seems to be a more consistent problem though than that would cause, as it happens pretty much 1 minute and 15-20 seconds after I plug it in.
I don't turn on the Bluetooth on my iTouch and wifi isn't an issue while driving.
Thank you for the suggestions. I've searched all over and basically the only fix that works for some people it seems is a hard reset, which didn't for me.
I figured I'd ask at an Acura specific site to maybe get an answer from someone with the same car.
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

Try cleaning out the dock on the iPod just in case.
Sorry not much help. Good luck.
