Sick of paying the Stealership.
I want to change the differential and transmission fluid.

What fluids do i use, do i need crush washers, a pump?
Are there any filters to change?
And how much fluid do i need.

I live in Canada and did not want to buy them at the dealership.

i saw that you have to use acura awd fluid - this means i have to buy it at the dealership?

In the US, we need to go to the dealer for SH AWD fluid for the rear diff. Tranny fluid is just Honda ATF Z1 iirc.

How bad of a charge is this from the dealer?

I use Honda dealer since they are 10 minutes from my house because the Acura dealer is 30 minutes and they want an appoinment every time. My MID flashed B16 message around 25k miles interval. Rear differential change cost $80. If you bring your own Acura AWD fluid, the labor is around $50. Oil change costs $20 with my own Mobil 1 Synthetic oil and Mobil 1 oil filter.

BTW, I have 2010 MDX with Tech at 45k miles now.
