Bass sub weird noise
My sub had been making weird rattling noises when I play music with loud bass. It sounds like theres something within it is loose. How do I go about opening the housing or the cover? Does it pop off? Can someone shine some light on this . Thanks

Yes, the cover pops off. Use a flat screw driver for it. Then you should see screws holding the sub.
I had opened my sub for the same reason (sold that car), so don't remember the exact # of screws etc.
If you do not find anything loose but are still having issues with the vibration/noise, there is a TSB for the 1st gen MDXs that might help your scenario.
Good luck.

the sound is actually worst when you stand outside next to where the woofer is . (right next to the rear wheels. rear passenger side) It sounds like a rattling metal of some sort... Still havent had the chance to open the woofer yet
