What dia. size is front sway bar?
2008 Tech & Entertainment MDX. Want to get new front sway bar bushings. All the parts stores say the bushing for this are 22mm.
I measured several times in several places & the sway bar dia. comes out to be 15/16" which is 23.8mm.
There are bushing that say they are for "sport suspension", but I'm taking that to mean the active suspension, which I do not have.
So, just buy the 22mm that the parts stores say is right & just squeeze them in there?

Well, apparently the "sports suspension" is not the active electronic controlled suspension. So is there a "regular suspension" , a "sport suspension" & a "electronic controlled suspension"?
I see where O'Reilly's has 22mm ones and 24mm ones for sports suspension. Would like to get them today because I'm working on it tomorrow. Would also like to get urethane ones as opposed to rubber, if I can find them.

There should be two sizes for sway bars for the 2nd Gen MDX: 2007 Acura MDX - Specifications - Acura Automobiles - Honda News
Regular struts/shock Base/tech version:
23mm front sway
25.4mm rear sway
07-09 Sport version with ADS with comfort/sport setting magnetic struts/shocks (same size for the 10-13 Adv models):
24mm front sway
27.2mm rear sway

I have 2 threads on Bushings that might help you..
Front Bushings are replaced in this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-2g-m...-links-964182/
Rear Bushings are replaced in this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-2g-m...shings-965173/
Summary of both..
The bushings on my MDX were hardened so they were not doing its job properly as in: Absorb the impact of the suspension. Fronts were the most hardened of them all and made a huge impact on the ride.
Rears were also hardened but to a lower extent, Replacing them was easier than the fronts so you might as well give it a show.

Humm....my front sway bar is 24mm dia., but it is not the Advance/Sports version with magnetic shocks/struts.
Upon closer look, Auto Zone had a set of Duralast 24mm front bushings which I bought at lunch today.

Are you the original owner? There are some folks that upgraded the base/tech sway bars to the larger Sport/Adv sizes to improve handling. Is the rear RSB the larger size also?

I have a 2007 Sport MDX, For my front, I used Rayobestis #550-1369, which is the same as the Moog #k90554.
These are both 23mm bushings made for a 24mm sway bar.
Take the rims off and you'll have more room, to get to the 10mm bolts, especially on the passenger's side.
Use Plumbers silicone (grease) on the sway bar and the rubber bushings. You can get it at Ace Hardware stores.
