2002 MDX touring

Hello looking for some input. I have a chance to buy a 2002 MDX touring with 88,000 miles on it previous owner was a older couple and did not drive it much. He had all the maintenance done at the dealer etc. price is 4500. I have read all the stories about the transmission in these but I have a 2000 tl with 265000 miles on it and have not had any trouble with the trans. I change the fluid about every 10000 miles along with the external filter and I clean the solenoid screens each time. So what do you all think about this MDX. Thanks for your input.

So, I am sure this is an old post, but for anyone who would like to know, there is an affordable way to replace the trans in these suvs. Evidently, the Saturn Vue with the L66 package has the exact same drivetrain as the acura mdx. These transmissions evidently do not cross in the interchange libraries, but I assure you that they do. The difference is that if you call and ask for the transmission from a MDX. I found that they were about 800-100 dollars for units with high mileage. If you call for one from the Saturn, well, I got one for 300 bucks with only 71k on it. Same unit. The Saturn one had a different part number on it, but I have been driving it like a dog for three years now with any issues whatsoever, noi check engine lights or anything of the sort. I rebuilt the original transmission as a spare, and during this build, I confirmed that are no differences except in cost. Taxing people just for the badge on the hood... I attached some images showing I have hands on experience with this issue, just in case this can help someone else.

Yup that's a great reminder for anyone needing a tranny. My 05 just hit 200k and always good to know one can be had if needed for so cheap. Same engine and transmission in the pilot, mdx and vue.
