some small pieces of info from a couple of sources, being a concept car we can take this info as such.

http://jalopnik.com/the-toyota-ft-1-...-re-1502590788

The car was recently offered in Gran Turismo 6 and it's virtual specs are: a curb weight of 2,910 pounds (1,320 kilograms) and 485 horsepower, which apparently gets bumped to 518 horsepower after an oil change.
This is completely believable performance level taking the concept car's rear tires as a gauge, which are 305/30ZR21.

Also in case you missed it in the introductory video, Toyota's designers hinted that previous cars in this lineage had inline-6's and suggested that this lineage would be followed, but did not confirm anything.

srika, visions of the FT-1 still dancing around in my head And as the days go by and I see more images of this car, my appreciation grows stronger

All I can say is I love what Toyota is doing.

If you told me 10 years ago that they would have the FR-S, IS-F, LF-A, and the RC-F and FT-1 in the works... I would have farted in your face.

I agree with Leno.... this FT-1 has more presence than the LFA. The design is much more striking.

I am more interested in how much.... but at 29xx lbs and 480hp... I don't think many of us can afford it.

I seriously doubt the car will be 2900 lbs. I would guess around 3200-3300 lbs at the least, realistically a bit higher than that.

even at 3300 that is still considered light weight by today's standard.

bottom line: still can't afford it.

MKIV Supra Turbo was ~3400 lbs, for reference.

The 3200-3300 estimate sounds right to me.

yeah, production version will def be toned down. But I am confident Toyota won't fk it up, I mean they have quite a legacy of fine vehicles to maintain in this line.

The FT-1 looks a lot more production ready then the LFA and FRS concepts. I think that's what they had in mind when working on the concept. BTE, I totally forgot what the ORIGINAL LFA concept looked like... straight out of GTA 3.

that's a tough call - I'd like to see that happen though.

the FRS concept looked production ready too.

but again I do have faith the FT1 will follow the path of the LFA concept to production.

BMW has confirmed the next Z4 is going to be 6 cylinders and we can safely assume that it will have turbo(s)

So since they are sharing engines, we just got our next Supra I6 Turbo RWD.

So I6 Turbo 460hp or SC V8 707 HP

both at $60,000

um.....

I think it's still too early to say what will end up in the final car. I have also heard reports the car will be a 4-cylinder.

So, the more "upscale" interpretation of the FT-1 here hints at what could be luxury upgrades...Hey, IWHI.

BMW has already confirmed the next Z4 will be I6, as least as an option.

AutoMotor und Sport is reporting that new next Z4/Toyota project WILL have a turbo six gasoline engine. BMW spokesman Kai Lichte said: Whether the hybrid powertrain is also used in the BMW, or whether the Z4 gets four-wheel drive, but it was "too early to talk about it," as the BMW spokesman told an Australian newspaper says. "First, we will have a six-cylinder, that's for sure. Everything else comes later maybe." The next Z4 will be jointly developed with Toyota and BMW. One possibility is a Toyota hybrid and fuel cell expertise also to be used in the next Supra model. Toyota all-wheel drive Toyota Supra might be available as a hybrid drive system with a two-liter four-cylinder and 350 hp on tap for the next Z4. Dackel
