Had my quad tips welded on, check it out
I don't think that the tips sticking out would be much of an issue, as that can be adjusted. I had mine welded on perhaps about a 1/3-inch farther out than the OP, so they aren't as flush with the bumper as his. I just don't know about the width of the stock bumper. I'm guessing that they would fit, but I'm unsure if that will require the removal of the plastic trim surrounding the exhaust port or not. Hopefully, we'll find a guinea pig who will buy these just to try them out on his/her base TL so that we can ultimately find out.

Are these them? How much did you pay for a shop to do the cutting/welding? Thanks!

I paid $60.00 for my install aswell, and for sure you have to be involved in how you want them set up before they get welded in.My buddy did it for me at his shop,he even notched out a piece of plastic on the inside of the aspec so they would sit the way i liked them.

Only thing I'm wondering is how they look painted black on a NBP. I don't think that bright silver would look good on a NBP at all, but pictures can be deceiving.
I've got them on my NBP and i think they look amazing! Give me a few days and i'll post some pics! i also have have aspec bumper if that matters..

This is my question to the a-spec crowd. Do you remove this plastic surround to install the rear a-spec lip? If so, then it would make sense that it would fit better with the lip.

None from underneath. Looking at that last pic of mine it gets me thinking. Maybe if it was out a little further then it could go up higher. I noticed that the guys running a-spec lips put their tips out more flush with the lip, which would be at least 1/4" more towards the rear.
Hmmmm...
Hmmmm...
Yep. It's the plastic exhaust port mouldings that seem to hinder fitment on the base models, as all can see in these pictures. I actually think that if you remove those mouldings, the fitment would be spot on on a base bumper without A-Spec.
You're right. I looked into this soon after I got the exhaust done. It will be possible to raise the exhaust without the plastic parts. However, without the plastic parts the bumper itself looks wierd. So do you think if I got the A-spec lip I will be able to make it fit better? It's one thing I want to do.
How does the performance on these tips treat you? Does it give better flow and sound louder than the stock ones? Also can you get a video of it in action.
Thanks
Also did you have to buy the Stainless Steel Reducer or did you just bought the tips?

Please do not do this. It will have a lot of drone and rasp. Just delete mid muffler and replace the resonator. It will only be a little bit louder from 2 - 3.5 K RPM
@GVTL: Is there any modification done to the a spec bumper to fit these. ( my apologizes if this has been posted before)

$100 for a pair of tips seems a little pricey IMO.. My local exhaust shop can get identical tips that are cut at 45 degrees or flat like the ones pictures for $20 each. SS of course. But they definitely look good man!
I know you been having these exhaust tips for a while, do they lose their color and rust over time?
At Smokd05, once you see them in person you will know they are worth the money. Any other rolled edge, angle cut, CHROME tip will be pricey. Not to mention they are dual tips which are even more pricey. IMO the chrome is a better finish than polished SS.
My car was dirty for almost a month because it was raining every other day and I didn't bother to clean it. The tips were nasty. Then a good week popped up and I cleaned my car and polished my tips with some Mother's Chrome Polish. The girl I work with asked if I got new exhaust because they were so shiny. The chrome pops on my black car.
I've had mine for about a year. They will never rust or discolor because they are triple chrome dipped.

When you bought the tips, did you have to buy the stainless steel reducer or it was a direct fit?
What do tips have to do with flow and performance and who here has proof that "exhaust" tips affect flow and performance
A video of the welded on tips in action??? Come on please tell me you're joking.
Not to sound like an ass but when I see questions like those above it.........fuk it never mind.
I'm going to have to get these tips. I've always loved the quad tip look, and the staggered setup matches the line of the rear bumper perfect! Good to know I won't have to hack up my aspec bumper just for some quad tips
pretty sure its the same one they sale on eBay
