To me, I don't think it looks bland at all. It makes the car look more elegant and "stealthy." At least it got rid of that "beaky" look. The RJ grill in a way reminds me somewhat of the Mercedes Benz grill on the previous SL roadsters.

I went for a ride around town yesterday with the new grill and you should've seen the number of heads that were turning!....esp. the 3G and even some 3 series owners!.....too funny.

That's why we call these opinions. We can agree to disagree about this.

I've had several people come up to me and comment on how beautiful my car is. This would be a definitive compliment, but by no means a real measure of the general opinion regarding the stock TL appearance. I'm sure for every 1 person who likes it, there are a few who hate it, and about 100 who couldn't care less. I take these 'head turning' comments with a huuuuuuuuge grain of salt. Head turns can just as likely be looks of disgust. I would suspect that 3G owners that are car enthusiasts (which would be the minority), could be looking out of curiosity as well.

Yup, and if the 2G TSX came with 306hp and AWD, I would be driving that instead of the TL

This grill to me makes the car look too much like a 4G with a 3G grill slapped on. Not cool to me. I'm loving the look of the stock grill even that much more now.

To each his own.........However, judging by people's reaction here on the forum and from my own experience during the short time I've had the grill, I would say that the vast majority have been positive. The biggest controversy with the 4G has been undoubtedly the grill and that has kept a lot of people from considering the car. Now that vendors like RonJon has given consumers a nice alternative, I think more people will give the car another look.

I don't think it's that similar to the 3G grill at all. If it's similar to any other Acura grill, it's the 2007-2009 MDX without the silver parts on the top and bottom.

good news, the solutions to the grille issue will be solvable with just minor adjustments, not full replacements. Weather stripping, slightly larger mounting holes with lock washers and a little trim on the bottom will solve the issues. Of course a professional install also has a little to do with it as well since this is an aftermarket piece, but still after all this, it will look like stock and fit perfect.

In my case, Ron told me I will have to get a replacement grill since the fitment is so off. I think with the revisions, the corrected grill will be perfect.

I always have been a huge detractor of the 4G ever since first seeing it in pictures. I have to say though, I like it more in CBP as it helps to hide some of the car's size and the RJ grill is a huge improvement over the beak. and yes, I have seen the 4G many times in person, in motion and up close and personal and at a distance and not to beat a dead horse but its not any more appealing in person. But with the RJ grill, it doesn't look bad at all. The rear still needs some work (personally I would delete those rear fogs in the bumper) but nonetheless my opinion of the 4G is improving

I must say that I totally agree with you on this, me being of those people who can now give the Tl another chance at being my next purchase just because of an option like RJ's grille. I love the new look with this grille but I must admit that also like olu's photoshop. It 's what the car should've looked like in the first place, but it doesnt , thanks Ron for giving us hope

here's mine. I think it looks pretty good overall, but the fitment is pretty bad. It took me a couple of hours to coax it in. I moved the weather seals over from the stock grille.

Looks like you got the same fitment issues as I have....in almost the same places! (esp. the big gap on the drivers side). You'll probably need a replacement grill like me.

Gotta say, though, this grill does wonders on dark-colored cars!

This is how the 4G TL should have looked like from the factory

Sure the beak doesn't look that bad on some cars (TSX, MDX) but it could EASILY be better. Maybe RJ will make a grill for each of the popular models?

Guys, what a great look for your 4G's. I'm glad your fitment issues have been resolved.

Sorry guys, not my cup of tea. I preferred the original RJ without the Acura logo...stock is looking good now and growing on folks.

RJ should make the body kit.
