Woo Hoo! New MDX owner!

After about 3 months of looking and dealing, my wife and I are going to pick up our new '09 Base MDX tomorrow (Saturday). It's Balli Blue w/taupe interior. Didn't need the nav or anything, just got the base model. Can't wait! Out the door with tax title and license came to $35,300. I thought that was an excellent deal! I've dealt with 16 different Acura dealers within the 400 mile range of St. Louis and the dealer I've bought my last 2 cars from ('05 TSX and '08 TL) gave me this deal so I don't even have to drive far. I will miss my TL but, we are expecting our first child in September with hopes of having another in a couple of years so I figured this was the perfect opportunity.

Congrats. That's a really good deal. I've got the same auto combo in my garage too. I'm planning on updating my garage for the same reason, with the same vehicle (sorta: sport w/navi). Different trade though? (TSX). What made you decide to trade the TL instead of the TSX?

I don't have the TSX anymore. I traded it in for the TL. Now since we are getting ready to have our first child, I am trading in the TL. I will miss it, but when I drive the MDX, I know I made the right decision.

Congrats, where did you buy it from?

I'm not far from St. Louis and wouldn't mind driving for a deal.

I got it from Frank Leta Acura. I've bought all 3 of my cars there. The other Acura dealership in St. Louis won't deal for nothing! Ask for Gregg Sabbath. He's the best one working there.

Hey Roush, have you had anytime to take pics of that beauty? If so, post up when you get a chance.

Located off 270 and Tesson Ferry. Take Tesson Ferry exit, go east about 1 mile. Dealership is on the left.

Sorry guys, I have pictures, but I can't post them! I've searched the FAQ here, and it still won't let me post pics. I can't even do an album! WTF!?

Wow ... the base model dashboard looks so simple/easy to use ... I know one of the gripes about the current MDX is the busy dashboard; otherwise it's a top choice on ppl's mind ...

Wow, now that's nice! I love the color. Even though it's the base model, it's still pretty sweet ride.

Thanks guys we really love it. Even though it is just the base model. Just couldn't see spending an extra 3 or 4 grand for nav and a power liftgate (and I'm sure some other fun gadgets). My wife and I don't need nav and that wasn't even in our discussion when we decided to look at the MDX. I will be tinting the front windows and putting on the side steps and luggage rack probably the beginning of next year. It will look so much better then. Just couldn't see spending $880 for the side steps and $400 for the luggage rack when I can buy both pieces and install them myself for around $700.

Nice ride, great deal and an excellent color choice!
Smart plan for the accessories too. You can install both in an afternoon and save a ton.
