You also won't be able to use the private message system, edit your userprofile, or add photos to an album right away either. I guess this is a post, right? That's one. I tried to post a photo of my 1st gen MDX months ago, but gave up after not being able to figure it out.
I'm hangin' in there though, seems like this is a good forum if you own an Acura.

Welcome!
most people dont use the "acurazine photo upload" or whatever.
we just host the photo on a photo sharing site like photobucket.
When I click on the MDX blog, I however, see no pictures.
if you publish them to the blog, you can then post them here.

Not sure what happened to the MDX link. I'll try it again:
2005 Acura MDX blog
2005 Acura MDX blog
This is weird. That's not the MDX blog. I don't know what it is. the address says 2005.blogspot.com, which is not my MDX blog.
The forum will not let me publish the title of my MDX blog. It auto corrects the "acura mdx" out of the name.
I'll try this: 2005 acura mdx dot blogspot dot com (no spaces).
When I try to make it a direct link, the "acura mdx" part of the web address is deleted by Acurazine. Weird!

Tavu, 2 more posts and you're golden: you need 15 days + 5 posts.
This is par for the course with other forums...over the years with my cars, I'm on BMW, Mazda, Ford, Hyundai, Honda, etc. forums and most of them have the same type of rules. It's a safeguard against users entering a forum, selling their stuff, and leaving (and not contributing to the forum itself).

I just discovered tonight that the forum automatically detects any web site you try to save with the word acura in it and censors it out. No biggie.
If you are curious, you can see my MDX blog through my Ranchero blog.
And that make seven posts. That means I can make an album, right? I am impressed with the huge numbers of numbers of members on this forum, but so far MDXers has been invaluable for DIY projects.

Hi Ken,
We have these rules to reduce spammers, scammers and trolls. Basically there are people out there who have abused privileges that unfortunate affect newcomers who have no ill intentions.
While the rules/reasoning may seem convoluted, I assure you that after being here for 9 years, I've seen the logic pan out.
We hope you stay here, share your knowledge and contribute to the forum.

I totally get it. I was not complaining, just voicing observations about my discovery. MDXers' forum name change is a result of the same acura issue. Acura protects it's name, as well they should.
I thought I was brilliant to have figured it out on my own, as a noobie. A legend in my own mind, eh?
I have had a flat blast with my MDX and could not be happier that I happened to have a stoke of luck to purchase it. 40,000 miles later with out a single issue. Like my last car, I'll probably keep it until someone totals it, but next time it gets replaced with another MDX.
Ken
