Thinking about trading in our '06 Pilot for a 2012 MDX
Thinking about trading in our '06 Pilot for a 2012 MDX
Our 2006 Pilot has been a rock solid SUV and now has about 100k miles. My wife and I really don't like the boxy look of the current Pilot body style but like the dependabilty of Honda so we started looking at MDXs. Acura has a lot of incentives going on now and have been quoted $39k for a new MDX with Technology. We'll go buy the dealership next weekend and see what trade-in value they will give on the Pilot. Hopefully they will offer enough so we can do the deal. If not, we have no problem hanging onto the Pilot for another year or two. If anyone is in the market for an '06 that's in almost perfect condition send me a PM.

you might want to check THIS weekend. end of the month and all...there have been a a number of folks getting under 40k BEFORE incentives. dealers want to move the 2012 inventory...the '13's will be landing soon. you can get an idea of your "book" value for your pilot and go from there.
the prices on '12 MDX's base and tech models perhaps even the other models, have been priced pretty aggressively all month from what i have been reading (from now new MDX owners). not sure what will happen next month.
is the price you were quoted before or after incentives??

I've gotten quotes from dealers in Chicago, Atlanta, and the VA dealers. The best price that I've recevied so far for a 2012 MDX Tech is $39,490 plus taxes, tags, processing, and freight. Additional $1,000 Loyalty Reward towards down payment if financed thru Acura.

it's a really great price...it's scary how good the pricing is. the incentives being offered right now are really hard to pass up along with the finance rates.
my dealer (it's one of those VA dealers) has aggressive pricing and the .9% financing on top of that.

Would you consider a 2011 Adv/Ent with 13k miles in super condition? I have to get a minivan at the end of this year or beginning of next year and I have been going back and forth on whether I should sell it privately which is more work but I don't have to haggle with a dealer over two vehicles or just wait and trade it in.
