Sway bar link...
Hello, I took my dad 01 mdx for an oil change and the mechanic told me that the front sway bar link is bad. He showed me the busing on it was ripped and he said it allows dust to get in it. He quoted me for $330 to replace the two front sway bar links. Is it a good deal? Is it still safe to drive until I get it fix. thx

end links are about $20-30 a piece. it takes maybe 30-45 minutes to install....so short answer is no, it's not a good deal for $330. my dealer only charges an hour of labor to replace both. i'll let you do the math.
unless there is more involved in the replacing of the end link on an MDX (which i can't imagine there is)...the TL is relatively simple.
it's safe to drive...just dont' corner like a crazy person. it might rattle or clunk over speed bumps or turning into driveways. the body roll might be a little sloppy in turns.
