Subwoofer preamp signal?

Subwoofer preamp signal?
13 mdx tech, about to install a/m sub. can i use the signal going to the stock amp as a line in to an a/m amp? or will i need to use a line level converter?

I would go with a line level converter just in case the signal is more than what your amp can handle. I've seen people used the LC2i with and had great success.
