Sprint Hero and HFT Auto-Connect

Hi all,

Stumbled on this site. Looks good. Did a search with no luck.

I just purchased a Sprint HTC Hero cell phone. It paired to the HFL without any problems. Incoming calls connect automatically to the system. However, outgoing calls do not. On outgoing calls, I have to manually transfer each call to the HFL. Any suggestions how to make outgoing calls auto-connect. Thanks for the help.

Pete

The 1st thing I thought of was...Did Sprint or Acura tech support have any suggestions... I myself do not have any experience with this system... I have a Sprint TP...also go over to the cell phone section of Ramblings and start a simiar thread... there a buncha tech heads over there!!! Hope that helps!

I did call Sprint tech support. They were clueless. Have not had a chance to call Acura yet. But because I can connect to the Lexus, I tend to think the problem is with the MDX.

Could be the Hero or the MDX... there have been some connectivity issues with some of the pda phones that some of the peeps were talking about on the Sprintusers website... I do not know if these include car-phone paring with Hero specifically.

make sure you bounce this off the Ramblings crew or even see if these guys in this thread can help you...

Did you check the Acura hand free compatible lists:

http://www.handsfreelink.com/findaphone.taf

Not all bluetooth is created equal. I've noticed when the phone is not on the list, querky things like you mentioned above do happen.

I tried several times of deleting/re-pairing my 3GS iPhone to my Acura with no luck. I updated the firmware on the phone to the lastest version (3.1.2) and it worked.
