SF Bay Area Mechanic for ADS-->basic suspension conversion for '09 MDX?

Looking for a local shop that has done the ADS to basic suspension conversion. Can't stomach the $4K+ cost at the dealership to replace the ADS. Has anyone in the SF Bay Area had a good experience with a local mechanic for this job? I'm on the Peninsula. Thanks!

Have you ever changed your brake pads, or changed your oil and filter?
Swapping from Electronic shocks to base model shocks is not hard.
On each of the rear shocks its one upper and one lower nut & bolt.
On the front, it's a couple of small 10mm bolts holding some lines down, from flapping around, 2 larger nuts & bolts, and 3 nuts on top of the shock.
Tape on some resistors and you're done.

No, I'm am mechanically challenged, have no tools, and would prefer the peace of mind of having someone experienced do the job. Also, my wife would prefer to have a pro do the work.

Check FaceBook, for a TL or MDX car club. Someone is in the SF area.

Not sure if you found someone buy you can buy standard shock assemblies for the front (any ones are fine) and standard rear shocks for the back + springs (sport springs are stronger and can result in a harsh ride with regular shocks). Last you'll need a few resistors (1 for each corner) to trick the car!

resistors, need 2 of each:

the 5 ohm go on the front I believe!
