Anyone know how to 'fix' the second row cupholder device? Mine is stuck in (just bought a used MDX, 2011) and the cupholder won't come out.

 

I purchased my MDX used in Jan/14 and my second row cupholder had the same problem. I was still under warranty and had Acura service department replace it and it works 100% now. They didn't even try to fix, just replace.

 

I have the same issue, like someone spilled coke and its sticking. I may try to take it apart this weekend. Looks like a time consuming process...

 

I had this same problem, I pushed the cup holders in and out until it opened just a bit, then slapped the top of the cup holders until it popped open. Then used a q-tip with rubbing alcohol and ran it along the tracks..then closed it and poured just a bit of alcohol down the hole. Solved the problem.

 

I have the exact issue with my 2011 MDX that I picked up a week and a half ago.

When I bought it from the dealer, I told them to fix before I pick it up which they said they would re-grease. Well a few days later, it was still stuck.

Dealer I bought from was about an hr. away compared to my local one which is 15mins away.

I am covered under warranty so they decided to replace it. I'm awaiting the call when my driver side visor and cup holder come in.
