RV-6 j-pipe Review on 2007 MDX
Review on RV-6 j-pipe for 07 MDX.
I recently purchased a 2007 MDX Sport (mileage 109K) and reached out to Rich at RV-6 Performance to offer my MDX as a tester. Rich took it in for a few days and developed a prototype j-pipe. I have had the prototype j-pipe model on my MDX for 30 days now. I would like to review items that are noteworthy for other MDXers.
Cabin noise: slight increase in drone/growl, not a big difference from stock and not noticeable to my wife. At WOT is where I hear j-pipe stand out compared to stock and it sounds great to me, but again not a huge change from stock cabin noise.
Performance: There is a noticeable increase in performance and responsiveness compared to stock at low to mid range RPMs. The MDX is very responsive to the pedal with less lag. At highway speeds the MDX also seems to have improved. Overall it feels lighter, more responsive to the pedal, sportier, and well worth it for the end result.
Gas Mileage: no change for better or worse.
In Closing: I am extremely satisfied with the end result that the MDX produces with the j-pipe. I highly recommend it to anybody looking step up their MDX performance.
Thanks for reading,
David G.
