Had the front passenger seat cover replaced. Only problem is, the new cover has some wrinkles right out of the gate:

I was going to call the dealership who installed it yesterday and complain, but I thought I would get everyone's opinions first.
Thanks!

Try to find another car and compare. Some seats come more wrinkled than others it seems depending on the style and whether comfort or support (i.e. sporty) is the intention.
There are many grades to leather and some wrink, shrink, and wear faster ... even right out the gate as you show ...
Only $200K + cars use best Top Grain
Most $50K + cars use Full Grain {as in the MDX Advance / Tech model}
Most $40K - cars use Split Grain {as in MDX Base}
Assume you had Base leather and 2nd Party is usually better and cheaper.
I think you need be concerned more with wear than those init wrinks.
Its really not bad but will prob wear poor if Split Grain.
Note - Split Grain is lower hide bonded in layers and often spray coated to look better than it is.

It's cool that I just read the same thread on Mdxers.org today. Anyway, could you tell me how you got your seat's leather replaced? My MDX currently has cuts on the leather and I'm curious on how to get it replaced and how much was it for you?
On to your question, I think it's normal because I've seen other MDXs like that too. It probably just comes down to personal preference and how comfortable you are with that level of wrinkle. If you are too worried, try talking to your dealer again.

Guys, thanks for all the replies! I appreciate it. Just bought the MDX little over two months ago and still trying to baby the car. (pre-owned 2008 base).
AQUAA, I purchased the bottom seat cover from OEM Acura Parts:
Here is the link
They were the cheapest I could find. It was $258 for the cover, and the dealer charged $209 to install. So total of around $470. Little expensive, but for peace of mind I am happy with the results.

I believe it would be $258 shipped 7 to 10 business days. I paid $41 to have it sent two day by FedEx as I needed it installed before a family trip. Still not bad, since the dealer quoted me around $350.Originally Posted by dominik331
