Hi, im new here, but a long time acura owner. I was wondering, if my 2001 MDX Stereo and Navigation are both malfunctioning, could i just swap the in dash system with a 2005/06 MDX system. As far as i know the plugs seem the same, but i dont want to have to replace the DVD player also, just the in dash portion (Navigation Screen, and Cd player/Radio) If not what years are interchangeable with the one i have. I dont want to go aftermarket.

Good question, I have the same problem I'd like to know if the newer receiver and screen are compatible as well it seems so

Doesn't appear to be much aftermarket support for this vehicle.
