We just bought a 2001 Acura MDX Touring that comes with the Nav/DVD system. On the lot we noticed the screen would not turn on. We bought the car in the good faith the dealer would fix the problem. Well, surprise, surprise they won't now. So I need to know how I can fix this problem. Basically, you turn on the car and nothing happens with the screen. Its blank, there is no backlighting, its just off. The DVD has been taken out and put back in, that does nothing, although you can hear the DVD spinning in the device, so we know that works. We have disconnected and reconnected the battery terminal to see if that would reset the system. That didn't work either. It is still just blank. Acura techs haven't heard of this problem before, and I don't have the money to pay hundreds or thousands to have them look at it or fix it. Any help would be appreciated!!! Any reset button or the like would be wonderful!! Please help!!

Does the front accessory socket work? Does the radio work? If they both dont, its probably a fuse. If those work, it might be a screen problem. You can send it out to Alpine for flat fee of $128.
