Post Oil consumption bad o-rings -2011-2012

I have two Acura MDX's 2011 and 2012 - both have the Oil burning up and it loses at least a quart every 1000 miles. I have been checking the oil every 1000 miles and have been adding a quart or two when needed. I now want to tell you that I have been using Lucas Oil Stabilizer in the 2011 and after the first 1000 miles no oil needs to be added. I was amazed! I even double-checked it and it didn't need any extra oil added. I will check again after another 1000 miles and update this Thread. I also had some hesitation is the engine when I would hit the gas after driving for a while and the gas mileage was horrible 12.1 mpg according to the system. I added Lucas fuel stabilizer and after three fill ups the engine has never been running better. I bought a gallon of the stuff and after every fill up I add about 5 oz. and I'm telling you the car has never been running better and the MPG went all the up to 15.6 MPG!!!!! I could not believe it. I don't know how accurate the MPG is on the dash, but it is much better. I use the Lucas fuel stabilizer after every fill up now. And NO, I don't work for Lucas and have no affiliation to any Lucas's products. I just did a lot of research and I'm telling you this stuff works. Like I said I will update after the next 1000 miles and we will see where we are at.

I had an used 11 MDX Adv I purchased in 2014 with 30,000 miles and just sold this year with 155,000 miles. I switched to full syn oil with OEM oil filter at my first oil change soon after purchase and later to +75,000 miles Mobil 1 full syn high mileage formula. My oil consumption has held steady at 1.5 qts per 9000 mile oil change interval since purchase. No oil additive, usually add +/- 1/2 qt around the 50% oil life mark, and stuck to M.I.D. schedule for oil changes.

Drove another 1000 miles and no oil missing! Usually by now I have added at least two quarts, so the Lucas Oil Stabilizer is doing it's job. and still getting great gas mileage with Lucas Fuel Stabilizer. I will update again in another 1000 miles.

I just bought Lucas Power steering stop leak in hopes it will fix a small leak on the driver side rack (just posted on this a few days ago). I will report progress.

Hit 3,000 miles and has to add 2 quarts... and at 4000 had to add another quart... so I still need to add oil, but at a much lower rate... I was adding 1 to 2 quarts every 1000 miles.... Lucas is working great. I will update again when I did a full oil change at 5000. Thanks.

I assume you are back to square one, consuming a quart or more of oil every 1000 miles. Those additives do not work as a long time solution. As a matter of fact these additives can clog the piston rings even more .

Maybe use a little thicker oil grade may help.
