Hi everyone, new member here. I just got a 2012 MDX Grigio/Ebony with Tech package. I had been waiting for the new RDX for a while but the deals they got going around now for 2012 MDX was too much to resist The MDX is perfect for what I need right now. Anyways the only things that I want to change asap are the fog lights and the DTRLs/Backup. For fogs I'm going with The retrofit Source H11 Kit

and for DTR I'm thinking the V-LED 13W kit in white

Not sure what the backup bulb is. The manual just says 18W but I'm assuming it's 921.

The q I have is does anyone know what's the stock HID temp for second gen MDX? Is it 4500k or 5000k? At least for the HID fogs I have the choice of either 4.3K or 5K. I want the fogs to match the stock HIDs. For DTRLs and backup the only options are 5K. Thanks

^ welcome and congrats on the pickup.. I have the same combo. I must agree the X is perfect and you cannot resist the pricing on the '12.
Looks like you already wanted to start modding it, those DRL led would work perfect and I think that the back ups are 921.
Also the stock hid I believe is 4300k.

Hey omnuts thanks for the reply. I ordered the DRLs and the parking lights from V-leds. As far as the HID fogs I'm not so sure about what temp and what W to get. I def don't want to go above 4300k because I want to keep the fog lights as functional as possible. The kit from retrofit comes in 35W and 50W, and its available in 3000k, 3700k and 4300k. The factory is 55W so I'm thinking to go with 50W and 4300k, or the 3700. I'm not sure yet. I emailed them to ask what they think is the best solution. I'll post some pics once I install them.
