Navigation Freeze Issue / Problem

Last night we were driving back from LA and my NAV screen froze up when we hit Tracy. By freeze I mean the GPS position indicator stayed in the same position even after the car had travelled another 30 miles. Also could not change or cancel the routing.

When I started up this morning everything was fine.

Anybody else have this problem? Should I see a dealer or just chalk it up as one of those software glitches like PCs that require occasional reboot?

I had an issue with my 2007 Nav where city/roads weren't showing sometimes. I popped Nav disc out and it had scratches all over it, dealer thought the unit was scratching the disc and just replacing the disc wasn't really an option as it would just happen again down the road. They replaced entire unit (around $1900-under warranty) under drivers seat and I got an updated newer version disc to boot. System works great now, no issues.
