Look in your glove box (or possibly under hood fuse box) for a white sticker with 2 sets of numbers on it. If the sticker is there, these are your navi and radio serial numbers. They need the serial number to retrieve the code. The $80 they would be charging you isn't for the code itself, it's the labor to remove the nav unit to get the serial number off th back of it.

BTW if they are actually charging you for the code not the labor to remove the nav, call client services they would have a field day with that.

If you have the SN from the dvd drive, you can call Acura CS and you will be asked/prompted if you are looking for a radio or navi code, have your VIN ready and they will ask you a few questions like your name and phone number etc, then give them the SN from the back of the DVD or the one on the display...you might want to call CS first to find out which SN you need. I pulled my dash apart only to find out I needed the SN on the DVD unit under the pass seat.

The best part is that it's free!!

Wow, thanks for the info! I can't believe a dealer would want to charge $80 to make a phone call. Oh well..

Another option is to go on the MyAcura website if you're registered. There's a link to retrieve radio/navi code. Then pretty much the same as calling in, you have to have the VIN... phone # and zip... and then SN.

I used this recently to get the radio code after I put in a new battery. The card in my glovebox had the wrong radio code but the correct navi code! CS was closed at the time... so the internet option came in handy.
