My First MDX!!

I recently picked up a "mint" one owner 05 MDX Touring with 80K on it. I bought it from a doctor outside of DC and he kept up all maintenance at Acura Dealer. We were replacing an 04 Pilot with 190K that we loved.

We love the way it drives. We put some new tires on it so it would pass PA inspection and added a hitch for a bike rack. Unfortunately in the past 2 weeks of ownership 2 issues have come up:

VSA Light X 2: A few days after putting on the new tire the VSA lights came on. The tires are the correct size. All I know about the VSA system I have learned from the manual. Any thoughts?

Drivers Side Front Seat: The first time my wife drove the MDX she tried to set the seat memory. The next time we drove it the motor on the left side of the seat stopped working (luckily in a spot where both my wife and I can both drive the MDX). We took it our Honda Dealer and they said we needed a new seat for $1500. We took it to our local shop and he thought he could get a used seat or parts but was unable to locate a "touring seat" with 3 electric adjustments. Thoughts?

Maintenance Records from the dealership: Is it possible / would it be helpful to have the Acura dealership that the previous owner used transfer the maintenance records to our Honda Dealership here in central PA so when we take it in for an issue they can see the history?

We want to love this MDX and drive it for 4 or 5 years but with these nagging issues it's hard to "let the love flow"

Thoughts /reality check/ words of encouragement?!?

the VSA system might have been disconnected in one of the wheel wells, maybe??

absolutely get a used seat. try car-part.com enter in information and it will show you which junkyards in your location has the correct seats. then a simple call to junk yard to confirm

Thanks JustnSpace - I'll try car-part.com

"the VSA system might have been disconnected in one of the wheel wells, maybe??" - Is this something my local shop can check out or should I take it to the dealership?

Thanks!

maybe even you can look through the wheels at the suspension. hanging off the control arm, will be wire harness clips.
if one is disconnected, you'll notice wire harness hanging freely.

or maybe chewed up from tires? or animals?
its worthwhile to check to see if all VSA harnesses are connected

My money is on the wheel speed sensor, it will throw that code too. But it usually throws a check engine light.
