Is my 2011 finished?
Is my 2011 finished?
Hello friends:
I apologize for the dramatic title, but I'm scared it's headed in that direction and would really appreciate your input on this.
2011 MDX / 142k / South Florida / Vehicle sat parked for 2 days in moderate/heavy rains
Upon starting after, the following symptoms:
Multiple warning lights on the dash (Trailer Assist System, Brake system, AWD System, etc)
Speedometer NOT working / Gas gauge IS working
Air Conditioner NOT cooling
HOWEVER, the car IS driving. It starts right up and drives fine. We could get by with no speedometer but in South Florida we need a working AC.
I have replaced the battery and checked all the fuses (even pulled out the linkable fuses). I've had two diagnostic computers hooked up to the OBD - none of them could establish a link with the car. The shop I took it to yesterday said go to the stealer - I called them and they want $220 diagnostic fee, to be paid whether they're able to diagnose the problem or not.
Ok so that's where we stand. I can't get my head around throwing of dollars at a potential computer issue. I'm considering making a flood claim on my insurance but I'm really stuck.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Fuses
Hi Blaser,
thanks for your response to my post. Sorry for my delayed reply.
Yes, I have checked those fuses along with the auxiliary fuses. None were blown. I thought I got an off reading from two of the aux fuses, which I still want to re-test but the fuses are for sure not blown.
I'm almost ready to take it to the stealership but I would love any further suggestions/input.

Was this ever resolved? Literally had something similar happen the other day. Battery voltage is good. I’ll scan car today to see if any codes pop up.
Others had issues with clogged sun roof drains with water leaking under the passenger floor mat or rear hatch area under the hidden storage. Unfortunately, the rear water leak can run over the fuse box hidden behind a panel located on the driver's side in the rear hatch wall. Multiple and unrelated warnings usually mean low 12v voltage, weak alternator, loose/corroded grounding issues, fuse issues, and/or battery corrosion most of the time. I would also check the fuse box next to 12v battery and by A/C compressor under the hood to make sure it is secured and dust/moisture free (4 fuse boxes total).
