MDX tire size question

just bought a 2003 MDX. new jasper tranny.

my question: will 245 x 65 x 17 AT tires fit on the MDX??

current are 235 x 65 x 17 and they work fine but i want to go a little bigger and more aggressive tread due to living in the mountains and on gravel roads a lot.

many thanks for any help here.

Welcome to the boards. I've moved your thread to our MDX Forums in hopes that you will get a quicker response from others that own an MDX as well.

Cheers.

Yes, 245's will fit. Assuming same tread design, they are only 0.5" taller than the 235's. Even if you get some semi-meaty tires you should clear everything fine. The speedometer will be off slightly (you will be going faster than indicated).

If you could get 60's instead of 65's, your speedo might not be off as much, since the ratio would be lower, and the overall circumference might be close to the 235 setup.

This may help you with alternate sizes while keeping you speedo accurate.
