MDX Navi splash screen

Does this annoy anyone else? Having to hit the "ok" button is fine but i hate the way that there is like a 10-15 second delay before the "ok" button pops up. Anyone get a workaround for this?

Thanks!

I *think* the nav in the 06 MDX is the same as the nav in the 06-08 TSX. I could be wrong, but the disk from my TSX works in my dad's 06 MDX. I remember reading someone figured out how to do this on a TSX. It was a while ago though. Talking about removing the 'ok' btw, its slow because it has to boot, no way around that.

Hm interesting.. I just hate having to wait for the button to come up. If it was removed altogether that would be awesome.

I know in the TL forum, they have a navi hack. I'm not sure if this works with the MDX...

only works with the 3.xx disks. the 05+mdx's use 4.xx disks. To get past it, you can use a KP technologies module, but you run the risk of killing the navi system...

We can thank Acura lawyers for the "OK" button...

Does this "hack" have to done each time you get a new DVD disk? Seems like a lot of work for what may be annoying at first, but becomes second-nature after a while.

I just hate having to wait for the "ok" button to appear. Like i'll turn on the car and wait for 15 seconds, hit "ok" then go. I know it has to boot up and thats probably why it takes so long, or maybe they just expect you to read the disclaimer everytime, i don't know. I think the hack would be helpful.

yup, and the dude who made it was banned, so the latest disk you can modifiy is 3.6, anything higher and the navi will reject it since the lines and coding has changed in the 3.7 to display one way streets and such.
