Mdx hd

Hi Everyone,

My acura MDX is due to be returned at the end of next month and I want to know how I can remove all the songs off of the Acura MDX HDD to another portable device such as a USB or portable hard drive so I don't lose all the music thats been accumulated over the length of time of having the car and can return the car with a clean HDD. Any advice or instructions will be appreciated. Please send an email back to nsinha81@gmail.com

Thank you

I had a 09 TL and went to a 12 TL and wanted to transfer music from my HDD. As far as I know there is no way of doing this on your own and I asked Acura if there is a way. The answer was that Acura won't do it as becomes a "copyright" issue. When Acura gets the car they basically delete everything from the HDD for resale.

Correct, wutaguy. The music on the HDD can not be copied to any other source by the owner. You either leave it on the HDD or you erase it.

I'm not sure about copyright issues since this would be for the owner's own use. I don't even know if Acura could copy the music onto another device regardless of the copyright issue given.

You cannot copy from one vehicle's HDD to another, or any other device, this is correct.

Very common question.

You'll have to delete the songs. This is why I put my music on a USB stick and stopped using the HDD.
