MDX is gone!

Decided to get rid of the MDX this past weekend. She was an 03, touring package and well was only worth 5K, pretty sad:[. But instead we picked up something that is 10X better, the Porsche Cayenne. Yes, in a sleek grey(last one they had, others were pre-sold) and with beautiful black interior will post pictures up on here and on my blog later!

Of course there will also be a review !

http://agulaya-thecarblog-agulaya.blogspot.com/

Check it out, havent had time to really edit anything on there as i am in finals week!

If I don't try to envision the Cayenne as a Porsche...I really like it....lol...great purchase though! I've seen some Cayennes on the road that are ridonkulously fast! Does the Cayenne have third row seating too?

Unfortunatly the Cayenne doesnt have 3rd row seating :[ sort of a bummer but thankfully the parents relized we dont really need 3rd row seating anyways. The Cayenne is quick though, 300hp V-6 (dont have the S version) but anyways the engine sound and exhaust note on her are also amazing, especially for a stock car. Of course its no where near my new Stage 3 Exhaust but the interior is beautiful on it.

Sorry it took so long to reply but the BMW X5, and the Range Rover HSE SPORT LUX. The presence when sitting in the porsche is really what won us over, and only the Range Rover could compare to the porsche in that sense but then the gas milage was horrible on the range. The BMW was just to common to tell you frankly the driving was nice and responsive but the interior was rather drab. I mean cmon.... its a Porsche haha so obviously the name factor also played a part

Ok well first off, we did test drive the MDX, some of the materials in the car were remnants from the past, like the headliner, and beam dressings, granted though the ELS sound system does sound amazing and the tech package is easy to use, except i do feel the audio system is rather Bass heavy now, as compared to my 3rd gen TL. Second the porsche does have an automatic lift gate, which has a locking after closing capability to keep you from worrying about the car, not to mention you can adjust how high the lift gate rises depending on the environment your car should be suited to, now the engine.... oh man can you even compare, porsche are miracle workers when it comes to doing things wrong (Rear engine setup, WAAAAYYY back straight six) so when it comes to doing something right they are even better. The v-6 in the porsche purs like a cat and naturally aspirated its pumping out more than the MDX and thats not even getting in to the Sport versions or the GTS version of the car. The Navi on the car is easy to use, the seat memory for both sides is nice, the heated and cooled seats in the front... and back is a pleasant addition. The available panoramic roof, or 16 speaker Bose sound system that is available, which btw puts out more watts than the Acura... sound amazing, but still in my opinion to bass heavy, i really like my treble high. Now i could keep going addressing the suspension, AWD, the thick-ass 375's in the rear, but now that might just be showing off right??? I dont mean to be mean or rude, but you just struck a cord with me i guess, but last two points... The MDX wasn't considered cause frankly it couldn't really compare, in my opinion atleast, and plus i mean cmon man... its a PORSCHE.

Well it's not for me, granted though name obviously played a part in buying the car and my mom (who the car is for) had a bad experience with Acura when she had the MDX. Out of the blue repairs, things breaking that would cost more then half of the car to fix. A maintenance package was bought with the car to help with the costs and this was the first car leased by the rents as they put it on their business so I mean it's a car and we'll enjoy it. Frankly I wanted a x5 but the choice wasn't mine or my dads haha

Little piece of Advice:

DO NOT come here bragging about a vehicle you don't own nor have control over. We don't care if "It's a PORSCHE", unless you have some constructive comparison or criticism to add.

Is it a Porsche, or a Porsch(ah)?

And just to point out - per the Porsche website, 0-60 in 7.4 seconds (or 7.1 - weirdly it lists both for the regular Cayenne). The MDX (which is also 300HP) goes 0-60 in 6.8 (per Motortrend). Hey...It's an Acura...

Not bragging... Just thought I could come and tell didn't know you'd take that way and didn't mean to make it sound that way... And it's not salvaged title brand new bought never crashed and the rear view camera was one of the problems. Mods please close this

Obviously 0-60 times can vary on the condition of the road, tires, and the driver themselves. 0-60 times from motortrend Cary differently from many of car magazines and testers out there and that shouldn't be used as your meter stick. No to mention Porsche puts down more torques and weighs less, and they are both all wheel drive, cso something must be missing. unless you can find a review of both cars side by side, which I haven't really looked for but if you find one I would be interested in reading it.

Don't think anyone cares. Why would you put your parents BMW on your avatar? You drive an Acura TL.

Seriously kid, I think no one is going to listen to you.

Why are you guys trolling on this kid? He didn't brag, saying "I am the greatest person ever, driving the greatest car." He just said that his parents traded in their mdx for a Cayenne and when comparing the Porsche against a similar group of vehicles, it came out on top.

And, despite what we enthusiasts may think, the brand plays a HUGE factor in guiding purchase decisions, especially in the way of expensive automobiles. Take the following for example: would you buy a Range Rover HSE or a Toyota Land Cruiser? They both retail for roughly the same, yet despite that, I'm sure most of you would pick the Rover because the brand resonates more. FWIW, it's brand that made Honda sell the NSX under the Acura nameplate.

If you read the OP's first post till he was called out, he never said that and acted like it was his.

Honestly, I'd take the Land Cruiser. But, that's just me. Not available in Canada either, so I'd be stuck with the Lexus LX570.

That's true, but his later posts weren't pompous or troll-like when he was rebutting everyone.

Yea, but you're a smart shopper...one who considers all the determinants of a purchase decision.

Thankyou! and to the member above thanks, this really got out of hand very quickly, granted i was attributed as to why it happend in the first place. We will all have our opinions and obviously i think THE CAR (not going to start indicating specifics as there are some trolls lurking) is better than the MDX. Might not have been the best idea to post this on an Acura Enthusiast site.... whatever the matter sorry for any offense that i might have caused!
