Map update for 2010MDX Navi
Is it worth updating my 2010 MDX navi map to the most recent version? For those that have, what are the changes besides more updated streets/businesses?

Chances are the 2010 map in your X might have 2009 data on it since new maps only come out in the fall in Oct-Nov.
I haven't found a way to verify for your local area updates on the Navi disks. I've been using Acura Navi systems since 06 and updating every 3rd or 4th year seems to be a good interval compared to every year or every other year. I do a lot of traveling in the southwest and even the older maps work 99% of the time. I still have to use my iPhone every once in a while because the Acura Navi is so damn difficult sometimes with certain address names to input and my wife is the iPhone navigator (screen too small on phone for me). I only use my iPhone when we have 4G; which, is only within city limits in the southwest mostly (very slow 3G or Edge network every where else).
If Acura haven't done so already, they usually have a spring discount of $149 or even $99 around spring/summer time. It is pretty much the exact same map as the fall edition at a cheaper price.

+1 I was skeptical but we found ourselves in more than a few areas where the maps did not cover new developments including hotels where we were staying, etc. As noted above the 2010 will include 2009 maps, even if you buy in December as we did. ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Worth updating every 3-4 years, wait for a "sale" (in past years @$100) and then you can sell your old DVD on ebay
