I'm telling you, if you are having trouble seeing behind you in the backup camera screen, just lightly touch the brakes to engage the brake lights-they are way brighter than any backup light, just red.

Tried it. Works fine in twilight, but when it is dark, the cam resolution is still dark and grainy.

I would think something patched into the trailer hitch harness and connected to an LED strip below the bumper would be the best solution. Should be fairly easy to engineer if you are good at wiring (which I am not).
