light pole fell on top of my car

First post! Just bought this car YESTERDAY and took it to a mechanic just to get it checked out. The mechanic pulls it out of the shop and and BOOM a collision happens in front of the shop and a car smashes into a light pole which falls on top of my car with the mechanic still inside. I'm so sad. Also wondering how the insurance company will handle this. there is a pretty large dent in the frame around the door/windshield area. the hood is scratched up, dented and scraped. the side mirror is broken and a small crack in the windshield. a few dings and scrapes in the passenger door. I loved this car and only owned her less than 24 hours before this happened. I even named her Starla

feeling sad...

hood damage

this picture was taken 12 hours prior to the pole falling on it

i was so excited yesterday to drive my new to me mdx.

Congrats on your new car. Starla is beautiful!

Shes fine, nothing $3000 or so can't fix. She'll be back to her old self in no time.

Thanks for sharing. Not sure what to take from this... Don't ever park near old rusty light poles?

That pole made your NSX look like a MDX

Welcome to AZ. I moved your thread to the MDX section, where it will receive more appropriate replies.

Who is your ins. co.?
Did you move an existing account# (from a trade-in) over to this MDX?

Don't involve your insurance company - if you do, it will go against YOUR record (regardless of eventual payment by his insurance)! It's the mechanics problem - he needs to cover it from HIS insurance.

Ouch! Sorry to see this. Looks like it was in fantastic shape prior to the pole. Hope they repair it good as new for you.
