Lane Change Switch for 2011 MDX?

Is it possible to install/modify/configure a lane change switch for an '11 MDX? You know, the thing where you press lightly on the blinker lever to make the blinker blink 3 times... It's something I wish every day that my MDX had . Wondering if that is a mod I could do myself.

The single tap up or down and 3 blink lane changes is standard for the +14 MDX. I don't know if it is a separated plug-n-play module or if the hardware is compatible with our 2nd Gen MDX?

it's gotta be a mix of hardware and software.
the exact implementation is not do-able for older cars.

however, one could probably imitate it by "tricking" the tail light+turn signals with resisitors

I was never really a fan of this feature, but I can see why some may like it. 3 blinks is not enough to signal in my honest opinion hence why I'm not a fan. Guess I'm old school

Bah, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the info - guess I'll have to keep doing it manually. Getting half a blink really bugs me though, guess I'll have to get over that!

I've grown used to it in my wife's car, and the three blinks seems to be common among drivers here in the northeast. Nonetheless, I'll be rocking the old school approach for the foreseeable future, which means the likelihood of a 4th blink sneaking in there..
