Just bought an '08 MDX Tech!
Hello folks, I've been lurking here for a while as I had my sights set on an '07 TL Type S....but, I wound up with an '08 MDX instead. ![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
My other cars are an '03 Honda Accord Sedan and an '05 Honda Element, so I'm looking for the MDX to do the job of both of those vehicles plus provide more comfort and luxury for my family and I. Taking road trips in the Element is a bit cramped.![Tongue](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Well, I'll be asking some questions of you all shortly as I start in on modding my MDX to my taste.

Congrats! Between this forum and the other MDX forum, you will find a lot of info. Good luck with the truck...the ride is a perfect compromise between a truck and a car

Thanks, yeah I love the ride so far. The MDX has turned my work commute into an enjoyable ride. Now all I need is some interior goodies. I'm still learning my way around the Tech system...I swear I need a class on that thing.....LOL.

^^seat heater replacement...is a PITA. invest in hog ring pliers if you are venturing to do this. if you can get the OEM seat heater pad all ther better. it's a labor intensive endeavor. if you don't want to deal with putting new hog rings in...use zip ties.
we did this with an Accord seat...

Agreed. Based on some of the threads I've read this will be a pretty tough job. Is the seat and leather removal process the similar for most Acuras? I've seen some tutorials for a TL and a first Gen MDX.

^^it's mostly plug in play. getting the seat out...4 bolts, unplug the airbag, seat motor...there might be one more...pull seat out. then basically pull the trim off the seat around the seat pan. then the labor intensive part starts. pulling the hog rings. get the pliers and save yourself a lot of swearing. honda/acura...pretty similar. took maybe 2 hours or so with both my brother and i working on it (thinking and doing).
unplug your battery BTW. you don't want to set off the seat airbag inadvertantly.
