J36 Build Questions
J36 Build Questions
Hello, and let me first introduce myself. My name is Dave and I'm in the process of building a J36 M90 supercharged project for my 2013 Honda Ridgeline (sorry, I realize this is an Acura Forum) I have a couple questions I am sure someone can help with.
I have a J35A7 block, A crankshaft and rods from a 2012 J37A1 MDX, Heads are from a 2007 MDX, my camshafts are custom grinds.
1.) Will I need to use the current cam gears/position sensors/backing plates that are currently installed on my J35Z5? And are they a direct swap?
2) I have read I will have to have the Crankshaft machined for clearance at the #4 main journal, and I may need a spacer? Is this correct?
3) Advice on low compression forged pistons oversized to 89.5 mm? I am assuming that I am going to have to custom order these...
Any help would be appreciated.
