It's a two Acura garage!
Just checking out this part of the forum now that we've added an MDX to the family! I've had a 06 TSX for a couple years now, so I've spent most of my time on the TSX forum. Tonight we just picked up a Black 06 MDX Touring (beige interior) replacing our 05 Pilot. We're absolutely thrilled! It has everything one could want in a vehicle - it was a very nice upgrade. It has 58K miles, got it for $23,800. We picked up an extended 4 yr warranty too (got a decent deal) just in case since we don't know the whole history. The car is remarkably clean - not even so much as a door ding. We were very impressed by the drive quality, engine, all the options - well, just about everything. Nice to have XM, DVD, Nav, HFL.
Looking forward to spending some time over here learning all about the ins and outs of the MDX! Anything special I should keep my eye on?

Thanks everyone! Here it is -
I ordered the chrome running boards today - can't wait to put them on. I'm thinking maybe the spoiler too - but that will be later.
I don't have my TSX right now to get the dual-shot:
I get it back from the shop in about 10 more days. I was on the loosing end of an argument with an F350. His insurance is paying for it all, but I miss my car.
So it really won't be a two Acura garge for a while. But before the accident, this is it.

That's gonna be my type soon .. LOL ... looking to replace wifey's RXH with MDX, but she is a bit concerned about the bigger SUV in the garage, but i almost couldn't wait to make the switch esp. now with a new addition to the family It's just that her parents gave her the Lex as a gift when our first girl was born, so not sure how they will react to my decision ... got my fingers crossed ... it's going to happen no matter what, but I still want to get their blessing on this ...

its alright. it might look big but isn't really that big. my mdx fits in the garage just fine with lots of room in front and back. it has plenty of room on the sides too. i would recommend trading it in for the lexus

We had custom made the shelfs on the side to fit her Camry before & it happens to fit with her RXH as well ... now with the wider MDX, not sure how the side space is gonna tur out .... but I'm willing to sacrafice my TL a bit so that she can have more space to load the rugrats ...

I started out on this site as a TSX member as I bought a 2004 TSX Navi and started playing with it. As I progressed my wife jacked my TSX (she normally leaves before I do in the mornings..... just like that commercial so I looked at trading her pacifica but my daughter just turned 16 today so she is getting that monster of a car and I made it a two Acura garage by picking up a gorgeous burgundy 2003 MDX Touring that runs like it was new. Now we are a two Acura garage and my 14 year old son is saying he wants the TSX when he starts driving..... I will be adding another one in a few years it looks like.

Give the TSX to your son? no.. It's your son who should be driving the pacifica.. lol.. trade the TSX for the new 3.5L TSX and keep the X. Sounds like your kids are pretty fortunate.

BTW, we are loving the MDX. And my TSX is back from the shop with a shiny new rear end, so all is good now.

My almost 15-year old son jumped into the new MDX and said, "this will be nice for me to drive". We took that opportunity to display both the TSX and MDX in the driveway and make it abundantly clear that he would never see time behind the wheel of either. I'm figuring that when the time comes, I'll be looking for a mid-90's Integra with a ton of miles but I can get cheap. My brother's 95 Accord just turned 350K miles so even if it had 150K on it, it would have more than enough life as a starter car.

Congrats. We are a two Acura garage also - as of last week.
We got a gently used 2006 MDX about a year ago and just picked up a new 09 TSX (to replace our Honda Odyssey).
I think the MDX/TSX combo works well.

Congrats! TSX is great for the short family trips, daily commuter and a bit of fun now and again, and the MDX for the kid-hauling and long trips. They are very complimentary IMO.

I have a 3G TL & 1G MDX.. treated me very well and a lot of fun to drive both.. but I love Toyota.. always been an Accord ('84 '93 '98) & Toyota family (5 trucks, 3 Camrys, 3 Lexus).. and I have to say the Accords and Toys I've owned have been 100% reliable.. These damn USDM trannys are a nightmare.. fortunately the '98 didn't fail on me while I owned it..

Post 102, I have since added the splash guards and got my PA plate. I love this car and think it is sharp (though I am apparently in the minority).

Thanks for the kind words, have had a blast driving it. A shame I can't open it up yet, hopefully in a couple weeks when I take my first long trip in her.
