I have a question regarding the ignition coil packs on my 2008 MDX. I know that the OEM manufacturer for this is Denso, but, are there other brands that would be considered comparable? I have found the OEM coils on a site for $60 each. I have also found coils for about half that price that are made by Delphi. Would the Delphi coils, or another brand name coil, be as "good" as the Denso coils? I want to use the best possible parts, but I also want to use the most cost effective parts. If the prevailing thought on this is that the OEM Densos are the best option I would purchase the Denso coils. Any thoughts or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

 

rockauto.com has well priced items. check there . I wouldn't deviate from the Densos.

 

Just like the spark plugs, TB (and components), ATF, rear diff fluid and many other items, I wouldn't go with anything but OEM.

 

Hitachi is/was OEM depending on what year MDX you have too!
