IAC Valve on a First Gen MDX?
Hey all,
So I have been experiencing some fluctuating RPMs while idle... After a bit of research, I have come up to the conclusion that I should start with cleaning my IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) which SHOULD BE located right under my throttle body.
Well, last night, I got in there, couldn't find it. While I was in there, I took off my throttle body and cleaned the gunk out of it but for the life of me, couldn't find that damn IAC Valve. I used to have the Haynes repair manual for my car but I couldn't find it.
Can any of you either:
I would highly appreciate it.
Thank you all for your continued support

Can any of you either:
- Take a picture of the ICA Valve on a 1st gen MDX
- Provide me with a schematic of where it is
- Give me more info on the subject
I would highly appreciate it.

DJRamzy,
Acura actually calls the IACV the Rotary Air Control Valve. It is indeed located underneath the throttle body, as displayed as ref #2 in this diagram: MDX Throttle Body diagram
I'd imagine that the cleaning procedure would pretty much be the same as any conventional IACV. If you end up having to replace it then at least it's not too pricey of a part (and it appears as though you CAN buy it independently of the entire throttle body)
