HIDs not turning on in 2002 MDX
Hi Guys,
Wanted to check....i got a HID kit to replace the low beams...installed them but they are not turning on...could not have fumbled the connections because its snap-on lock..you cannot install them reverse...i guess its standard for all plug n play kits...
before i talk to the seller...is there anything i should check out or i need to do?
i checked both ballasts + bulbs - neither is turning on, installed the OEM bulbs back and they turn on so the fuses r OK...tried the HIDs both with engine off and after starting...not sure if the kit is bad or what? my last firestone visit...they did advise me that my battery's charge is marginal...could it be giving out low volts....(OEM bulbs are pretty bright...during on/off my interior lights dont dim a whole lot...telling me the battery might still be good)...anyway your thoughts are appreciated....

I would try reversing the connections. I bought a plug and play kit and swore they couldn't be plugged in the other way. Turns out I was wrong and they fired right up.

hey...thanks for the quick reply...wouldnt reversing them blow up something? ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
and which connector exactly do i put in reverse?
1. main power to ballast
2. ballast - red - bulb
3. ballast - black - bulb

It shouldn't blow anything up. I didn't. What kind of kit do you have? Where did you get it from? I'm guessing you want to try and reverse the main power to the ballast.
