Has anyone experience their HFL phone system not picking up on voice tags and being able to add custom names to their Speed dial list? Imo this HFL system is sensitive and you have to be precise with pronunciation and phoetically 100% accurate before it will recognize any spoken commands..

Side note - proud new owner of a CPO 2010 MDX tech Palladium Metallic/Ebony. Love this vehicle!

 

I am very disappointed in the HFL and Voice Recognition on my MDX. It seriously sucks, I speak very clearly and it will not pick up anything I say.

My 3G TL was amazing with VR commands for HFL commands and anything else on the car. The MDX HFL system sucks, I try to add names to speed dial or even try verbal dialing but the system wont engage. I consult the on screen help commands it the system won't respond to input.

The Bluetooth calling is a let down as well, I plan to bring it into the dealer to see if they can do anything with it since its still under warranty.

 

yeah i agree, not impressed with the VR or the commands that you have to give, way to generic and behind other technology in other Auto makes for the class of car that is Acura. Wonder if the 3G X's are any better with voice recognition...

 

Sadly that is a drawback. I dont know how the auto reviewers were able to get the system to work when the refreshed 10+ models were reviewed.
