Is the HFL failing in my07 MDX?
All of sudden it stopped working. Then while driving for a while it soundly prompted me that I couldn't start the pairing process from the phone. After that it worked for a bit. Then it wouldn't respond to the buttons on the steering wheel again.
I assume the HFL module is failing and will need to be replaced or disconnected.

If short on money you can try and "Bake It", LINK >>> Fix Your Graphics Card By Baking In Oven <<<
I´ve seen at least 2 members that claimed fixed the issue, Since the HFL unit is already dead you cant get it any worse I guess? So might be worth giving it a shot.

Thanks. I have heard of that technique before. I removed it yesterday and checked all the soldering joints. They all seem ok to the naked eye. It could be microscopic of course. If it officially dies I will try the bake fix. It was still working after I put it back together yesterday.

Well it officially is dead. The battery was dead after it sat for a few days. It is now disconnected. I will try baking it when I have a chance. I doubt that will correct it but maybe I will get lucky. For now no blueotooth is better than a dead battery.

Same thing happened to mine (on fact my battery was killed 3 times...grrrr). Tried baking it, note to self: New oven is too strong. Ended up melting mine haha. So be careful of that. Alternatiely (something less harsh iirc) is to use a heat gun.
