Looking to get a VERY clean, clean carfax, regularly maintained 1 owner 2010 Base. It has the towing hitch and roof rack, 66,555 miles, 75% tires, newish brakes, and two key fobs. It's listed at 20k, I think I can talk them down to 19k.

 

If you owned it and tried to trade it in, you'd get somewhere in the mid $16k range.
Dealers can buy them at auction in the mid $17K range.
Their mark up is about $4k and that leaves a lot of wiggle room.
Maybe they'll sell it for $19K, but you'd have a better chance negotiating with a private seller, because they don't haggle for a living.
Look on autotrader, for private sellers and pay attention to the number of people that have looked at the posting.
More people means that the posting has been there a long time and the seller is probably motivated.

 

Here in St. Louis yes that would be a good deal

 

If it's clean $19k is a fair deal. It's hard to find a 2nd gen that's "clean". Most I see have a lot of door dings and/or kid wear inside.
