Good deal on a 2007 MDX?
Hi all,
I've been looking for a 1st gen RDX or 2nd gen MDX to use as a winter warrior.
Came across a 2007 MDX tech in relatively good shape with 79K miles, with an asking price of $7,500.
Is that a reasonable price? What would be considered a fair price gien the condition and low mileage?
Thanks!

compare it to others on the market...
go to www.autotempest.com and find out what others are selling for.

another 80K miles for $10,900
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/f...paign=atempest
110k miles for $8499
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/5...paign=atempest
so, relatively speaking....
the car you want is relatively low priced according to others on the market

The 07-09 MDX had issues with:
- OEM radiator leaking coolant and trans fluid together
- bluetooth module draining battery (most disconnect module; but, no handsfree phone)
- Sport MDX with Active Damper System (ADS) had struts/shocks that failed on a regular basis. +$500 per corner to replace with OEM (no aftermarket ADS replacement)
- some owners skip the 7yr/105k timing belt change. They might be selling because of that.
Minor stuff like:
- faulty navi DVD reader
- door/hatch actuators
- leaky P/S pump/rack
- checking alternator and starter
- having both key fobs and checking range
- HIDs and DRL are working
The 1st Gen RDX is also a good choice if you can find one. It gets slightly better city mpgs; but, can't get the MDX's hwy mpgs. The RDX is a lot of fun to drive, easy to zip in/out traffic, simple to park/maneuver in tight spots, and has better 360 degree visibility. The MDX will have more comfy seats, 5000lbs tow ready, more super handling with the sh-awd for better traction, less road noise, and goes around 10k per oil change compared to 5k for the RDX.
