Gen 1 Ex Transmission cooler install and full fluid change
Hello all. I am going to install a new transmission cooler Haden 403. I intend to also drain all fluid while at the same time replacing with Manufacture rec new fluid.
I am doing the job by myself so having the car started while I am under the car isn't feasible and I just have 2 questions.
1. bottom of radiator. Which side (driver/pass) is the return line?
2. I see that the external cooler can be installed inline with the radiator or in place of. If w/ the radiator (mine is newer) you run the risk of milkshake as it seems there is a design flaw where it mixes with coolant.
what is your thoughts/ feelings on inline w/ the radiator or standalone?
I will be installing in front of everything else, not behind the radiator and AC etc.

For those who need, It is the passenger side of the radiator is the return cooler line.
I installed inline.
I mounted horizontal low and driver side. This is closest to where the lines come out of the transmission.
